A Historical and Archaeological Analysis of the Character and Origin of the Iron Age Kingdom of Muṣaṣir

This research investigates the kingdom of Muṣaṣir through excavations and survey in the Sidekan subdistrict of Iraqi Kurdistan, examining how small polities in marginal borderlands navigated the spheres of larger empires and how religious appropriation affected local settlement dynamics.
